The Role
As a Product Engineer (SaaS) at Matilda FoodTech, you will be the key interface between product management and the development team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications, particularly for our TypeScript/React.js/Node.js tech stack.

• Evaluating the technical feasibility of product features and developing implementation strategies for our AWS-based cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborating closely with the product management team to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications.

• Acting as a technical consultant to help both the development and product teams understand customer needs and product strategy.

• Integrating customer feedback into technical solutions and supporting the development of new features.

The Team
You will work in close collaboration with our development team, led by the Tech Lead and Team Lead. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment, with frequent cross-team interaction and agile workflows. You'll be working alongside engineers passionate about solving real-world problems through technology.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in full-stack development with proficiency in TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js.

• Strong understanding of SaaS architectures, RESTful API design, and cloud-native development, particularly within AWS environments.

• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies.

• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with product metrics and user experience principles in the B2B SaaS space is a plus.

Meritorious

• Knowledge of AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies to enhance development productivity.

• Previous experience working in the foodservice or hospitality industry.
