Position Summary
The Community Living Specialist is responsible for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by coordinating services, supporting individual outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position works in partnership with the individual, their families, and team members to assist in charting a meaningful course for their lives.

Enroll in the Front Line Supervisor (FLS) certification program

Receive a $1/hour pay increase and one-time bonus upon completion
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and contributes to the development of plans mandated by regulations, ensuring implementation and adherence to each person's person-centered plan and current ISP.
- Revises the ISP to reflect the goals and outcomes chosen by the individual.
- Ensures the accuracy of ISP contents and coordinates the completion of assessments as requested by external partners.
- Respects each person's right to make choices and exercise self-determination, supporting their health, safety, and right to risk.
- Ensures opportunities are provided for each person to explore their interests in the community and form relationships.
- Maintains ongoing communication with families and supervisors to appropriately support each person.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability, OR
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability, OR
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability,
- An accredited certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse is highly preferred.
- Satisfactory Act 33/34 clearances and FBI background check.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and properly insured vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided for travel using a personal vehicle).
- Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within two months of the start date.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration training, provided by Achieva
