About This Job
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of human resources for our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive Human Resources generalist with a strong background in payroll management, employee relations, and talent management, particularly within the service industry or medical marijuana sector.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Collaborate with management to create a positive workplace culture that aligns with our company values.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, particularly in the medical marijuana field.
- Provide guidance on union-related matters and work with union representatives as needed.
- Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in the service industry or medical marijuana business.
- Proven experience in payroll management and employee relations.
- Strong understanding of talent management practices and strategies.
- Experience working with unions is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
