Job Summary:

In this vital leadership role, you’ll guide, support, and develop a team of technicians to maintain a safe, reliable, and welcoming environment for everyone who visits or works here. Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $24.00/hr - $34.94/hr
  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled work in one or more trades, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, refrigeration, or electrical machinery servicing.
  • Take ownership of maintenance and repair tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, and heating systems throughout the resort.
  • Assist with the purchasing, installation, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and similar systems to ensure long-term performance, guest comfort, and operational reliability.
  • Lead and inspire a team of maintenance and grounds technicians, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, professionally, and with pride.
  • Model and promote a workplace culture rooted in safety, accountability, kindness, and professional development.
  • Monitor system performance and collaborate with your team to identify and implement efficiency and reliability improvements.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Mountain Operations, Special Events, and our sister resorts to support daily and seasonal operations, and special projects.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach, helping team members grow in confidence, skills, and career pathways.
  • Support capital projects, renovations, and resort upgrades, contributing hands-on expertise and strategic insights aligned with both seasonal needs and long-term goals.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical certification or Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a commercial or resort setting
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role with a focus on team development
  • Must obtain Pennsylvania Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 90 days of hire

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Experienced with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems); experience with MaintainX is a strong plus

Soft Skills

  • A leader who leads by example, with integrity, empathy, and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to clear and respectful collaboration
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • Passion for supporting others, building trust, and cultivating a team that feels valued and engaged

Certifications

  • OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or equivalent safety certification preferred
  • Trade-specific certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) are a strong plus
  • Refrigeration Reclaim License in the State of Pennsylvania is a strong plus

 

The expected pay range is $24.00/hr - $34.94/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
