Intern: Children’s Program
The Intern will coordinate treatment team meetings, develop an individualized treatment plan for all enrolled students following IBHS regulations for individual and group services. The Intern will deliver individual, family, and group interventions as well as crisis intervention services in the home, school, and community settings. The Intern will conduct client-centered case consultation, in-service training, and liaison activities to school staff. The Intern will coordinate care with other services systems.
For continuity of care, the intern will provide services to an assigned cohort of youth and families on the team under direct supervision.
Job Duties:
Complete all assigned paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Follow and strive to achieve all of the programs Performance Standards each month.
Provides clinical & administrative supervision of BHT—Behavioral health technician
Provides consultation and education to parents, teachers, or community officials on behavioral interventions associated within their scope of practice.
Model appropriate behavioral interventions that may be written within the Individuals treatment plan or otherwise.
Implements behavioral interventions as they are outlined within the Individuals Treatment Plan.
Coordinates clinical & case management information/direction with other professionals and agencies.
Exchange information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties including; payer source, schools, families, and other community professionals.
Completes all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established company policies and procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated timeframes.
Attends supervision timely as it is scheduled.
Utilize NTC’s Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.) during tenure of employment. Initial training, and on-going training, will be provided to employee by respective supervisor and/or assigned team member.
Employee will be proficient in their job position within six (6) months. If at any time an
employee feels they need more training/education, employee is to submit a request for
such through their supervisor manager, and/or director.
Mobile Therapist/Behavior Consultants are expected to bill 15 hours per week or 40% of their time. Of the 15 billable hours, 11 hours or 30% of their time is to be spent directly with family in the home or community setting.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience
Intern will be currently enrolled in a Master’s Program in the Human Services Field. Ideally have experience working with children and youth and families.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to travel if required.
Requires valid/current (clean) driver’s license.
Position may/will require use of own vehicle.
Sedentary work: duties require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry push, and pull articles such as files and computer binders.
Position requires occasional crisis intervention for protection of self and others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in well-lit office environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as timesheets, mileage reimbursement, or payment request.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and furnished in writing, diagram, oral or scheduled form.
