Main purpose of the function:
This onsite position is responsible for inside sales to an assigned portfolio of customers, including managing orders and complaints and providing incident-free customer service in accordance with the principles of Almatis Business Systems (ABS) and Almatis Values.
Responsibilities:
Main focus areas will be divided between Inside Sales and Customer Service and are as follows:
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day customer relationship in close cooperation with responsible Sales Director, Credit Specialist and applicable Almatis departments and in line with global customer service procedures and company strategies and actively participate in change processes as and when required.
- Act as first point of contact and establish strong relationship with assigned customers. Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services.
- Maintains pricing and SAP contract. Forecasts customer´s product requirements, checks deviations between actuals and forecast and makes assumptions for the future demand development.
- Manage customer orders from receipt of customer's purchase order to delivery at customer's dock including all relevant documentation, filing, etc. Ensure accuracy of information and a timely completion of the work.
- Respond to requests and questions regarding orders, products, samples, account information. Receive and enter product or service complaints, follow-up on the complaint resolution, expedite corrective actions and frequently communicate with customers to ensure an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Understand customer order patterns and based on commercial forecast, follow-up on customer demand and orders proactively and appropriately to enable best possible demand planning and material availability.
- Ensures the reporting of correct and transparent commercial information as decision support for supervisor, within the due dates and according to the internal reporting guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree or at least, three (3) to five (5) years of experience in relationship management and complaint resolution.
- Have an understanding of the customer service function and its integration with other business areas such as Demand Planning, Operations, Transportation or Logistics
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good commercial & financial decision making; strong customer and service orientation; ability to judge and establish a win-win situation for the customer and Almatis
- Professional Breadth of Knowledge and Flexibility which is used in accordance with needs and situations
- Customer Focus (orients activities according to internal/external customer needs)
- Profit Focus / Results Orientation (own work as well as result and profit of the company
- Communication Skills (verbally and in writing; communicates clearly and in consideration of the person being addressed)
- Must be proficient in local language; fluent in English (spoken and written)
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP and BI or other ERP system
Hours
- Position works out of the Leetsdale, PA office.
- This position is NOT remote.
