Accredited Chef Laurent Tourondel is bringing his culinary expertise to Philadelphia with his new restaurant concept Terra Grill.

We are a group of passionate hospitality professionals with a profound sense of ownership and pride in all aspects of restaurant service. We are looking for talented and professional individuals to join our opening team. Experience with previous restaurant openings is preferred, but not required.

Your job is to provide the first impression of hospitality to every guest. Everything you do within the restaurant is to assist with providing the guest an introduction to the experience they are about to receive. The Terra Grill host team will be all be experts at welcoming our guests into our home with warmth, enthusiasm, and grace.

Primary Duties:

To ensure that all guests feel welcome and let them know that we appreciate them dining with us at Terra Grill. To interact with guests as they enter the restaurant, control the flow of business and organization of the dining room, answer the phone and assist with guest requests.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Demonstrate public relation skills
• Possess the ability to handle all situations diplomatically and professionally EVEN when you are extremely busy
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the brand and the offered products, including all specials and off menu items offered that day
• Demonstrate a knowledge of the surrounding area and neighborhood to effectively answer any guest questions, and assist with directions when asked
• Responsible for creating a friendly and welcoming environment for guests upon arrival
• Evenly seat all guests throughout the dining room, and ensuring that servers are sat in a proper rotation
• Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all positions within the restaurant as well as all other related operational procedures
• Able to greet multiple guests at one time, in a calm, friendly, and professional manner, and effectively coordinate seating
• Able to answer the phone in a timely, pleasant, courteous and informed manner
• Keep host stand and subsequent areas fully stocked at all times with the appropriate material
• Is able to accurately record appropriate information for taking guest reservations
• Ensure all guest restrooms are stocked and clean at all times
• Provide all guests with pleasant greeting and farewell remarks
