Concrete Laborer

Warfel Construction Company is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Laborer to join our commercial construction team. The role involves measuring distances from stakes and stretch lines, as well as loading and unloading materials from trucks. You will mix concrete using hand tools or a portable mixer as needed and may be required to operate hand and power tools, along with company equipment and vehicles. The position also requires the ability to provide basic tools such as a toolbox, hammer, and nail bag, with a full list to be provided. A commitment to safety and maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, along with performing any other duties as assigned.

A concrete laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of coworkers on a construction jobsite.

Requirements

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Measuring distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch lines tight.
• Loading and unloading material from trucks.
• Mixing concrete, as necessary, with hand tools or by using portable mixer.
• Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete for slabs, sidewalks, curbs, walls, and other structures.
• Operate equipment such as power screeds, trowels, and saws.
• May be required to operate hand and power tools as well as operator company equipment and vehicles.
• The ability to supply basic tools required for the position (such as toolbox, hammer, nail bag, etc.) A full list will be provided.
• Needs to have a commitment to safety and keeping the work area neat and clean, including general housekeeping items.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school or equivalent, technical school or college experience.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure with precise standards and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of prints, sketches, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication, organization and people skills, with proven success working in team environments.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
