Job Summary:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. This position is responsible for managing guest flow, handling reservations, and supporting front - of - house operations t o ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $20/hr
- Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
- Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
- Housing Availability: No
Job Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Answer initial questions about the menu, specials, and general restaurant information.
- Manage seating chart and monitor table availability for balanced server workload.
- Take and confirm reservations; manage waitlists during peak times.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and maintain a comfortable waiting area.
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entryway, and waiting area.
- Assist other staff as needed (e.g., bussing tables, folding silverware, running food, processing payments via POS).
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Team - oriented mindset and willingness to assist others.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer and math skills; familiarity with POS systems preferred.
- Prior customer service or restaurant experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The expected pay range is $20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
