Woodloch Pines Inc is seeking applicants for a full-time Hospitality Specialist located in Pike County, PA.
This position is funded through the Pike County Job Creation Program supported by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. As part of this program, the employer encourages applications from low- and moderate-income individuals.
Candidates will gain a global view and experience on how Woodloch runs and operates. They will work hands on in various departments, as well as shadowing and mentoring with department heads and managers.
Prerequisites of Specialist:

- Prior Hospitality Experience or Education Preferred

- Flexibility with Scheduling (Weekend, Holidays, Nights, Days etc.)
- Department Heads will schedule Specialists and develop their own procedures for training. All programs will provide a combination of practical and administrative experiences. Training will take place in various departments, some may include: Front Desk, Dining Room Server & Social Activities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ; other duties may be assigned.
- Check- in/out guests
- Answer switchboards and transfer to appropriate departments
- Maintain lobby area and coffee station
- Conduct Site Tours (includes resort, groups, events and weddings)
- Perform all required activities following specific guidelines and with enthusiasm
- Explain & operate all indoor & outdoor amenities
- Responsible for the happiness and welfare of the guests while they are on the resort property
- Coordinate with the other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent Woodloch’s signature hospitality
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED, hospitality and/or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from management, clients, customers or the public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
