What You’ll Do:

Production and Operations:

• Lead and participate in daily bakery production.
• Maintain product quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Develop and implement workflows that improve speed and reduce waste.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health requirements.

Brand Growth and Marketing Execution:

• Support content creation and storytelling around products and launches.
• Maintain a weekly marketing rhythm that aligns with seasonal items, holidays, and new menu initiatives.
• Ensure brand voice and presentation are consistent across platforms.
• Engage with customers and online inquiries in line with Merenda Box standards.

Sales and Revenue Development:

• Identify and secure wholesale opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with wholesale partners.
• Review sales trends and product performance.
• Execute promotions and initiatives that increase customer traffic and average ticket size, including new opportunities such as a lunch daypart.

What You Bring:

• Bakery or culinary production experience.
• Ability to organize, streamline, and improve workflows.
• Strong creative instincts and a willingness to execute ideas.
• Understanding of social media fundamentals and customer-facing communication.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and basic cost awareness.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently without hand-holding.
• Must have open availability, be available to work weekends, & holidays.

Compensation:

• 18 to 20 dollars per hour based on experience.
• Full-time role, 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Paid biweekly.

This position also offers additional earning potential tied to business growth, wholesale expansion, and operational efficiency. As Merenda Box continues to scale, the person in this role has the opportunity to increase their earnings beyond the hourly base rate.
