Position Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. This role is ideal for an early-career developer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud services . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing modern Java and Python microservices that run within a modern orchestration and cloud environment (such as AWS) . Responsibilities As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities include:- Writing, building, deploying, and maintaining diverse software applications
- Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Java Development: Experience developing modern, object-oriented applications using Java
- Microservices: Understanding of Microservices Architecture concepts
- API Development: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (e.g., using Spring Web)
- React Fundamentals: Knowledge of React.js fundamentals (e.g., components, props, state, hooks, JSX)
- Full-Stack Integration: Ability to integrate the React front-end with the Java back-end via RESTful APIs (e.g., using fetch or Axios)
- Cloud Basics: Basic understanding of cloud architectures and managed services in AWS (experience with Azure or GCP is also acceptable)
- Teamwork: Ability to effectively work and collaborate within a software engineering team
- Work Environment: Ability to work in the office full-time
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance to support our customers
- Experience with lightweight Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Testing experience, including Unit Tests (e.g., JUnit), system tests, and integration tests
- Proficiency with various data storage solutions (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
- CI/CD: Experience implementing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines. GitLab CI/CD is preferred, but Jenkins experience is also acceptable
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes
- Build Tools: Proficiency with dependency management and software builds using Maven, Gradle, and NPM
- Advanced AWS: Practical experience with standard AWS managed services (e.g., S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, OpenSearch)
- Government Cloud: Experience with Government Clouds (e.g., GovCloud, C2S)
- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Scrum software development methodology
- Experience with Source Control tools (Git, GitLab) and Agile management tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence)
- Active Clearance: Possession of an active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
