NICU RN Job Details – Danville, PA

• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Location: Danville, Pennsylvania 17822
• Unit: Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU IV)
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 16, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour shifts; rotating days/nights (minimum 4 nights in 4 weeks)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: 24 hours of Friday and 36 hours of Saturday/Sunday per 4 weeks; every other holiday during contract
• Hourly Pay Rate: $85
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Pennsylvania or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or provide 1:1 patient care as needed

NICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, progress, and vital signs
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform specialized neonatal procedures as ordered
• Educate and support families throughout the neonatal care process
• Adapt to unit needs, including assignments in the PICU or providing 1:1 clinical support
