Job Summary

Th e Hazardous Materials Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, and storage of materials within the warehouse. This role ensures compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and inventory control standards, including those related to hazardous and explosive materials. The position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operations, and ensuring timely fulfillment of material requests.

Job Description

• Perform material handling activities including receiving, inspecting, labeling, storing, picking, packing, issuing, and disposing of inventory.
• Inspect incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders, ensuring items are received in acceptable condition and reporting discrepancies promptly.
  
• Prepare outgoing shipments with accurate documentation and proper packaging.
  
• Maintain accurate inventory records in compliance with ATF requirements, particularly for explosive materials.
  
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
  
• Support kitting, Kanban replenishment, and other material management initiatives as directed.
  
• Optimize warehouse bin locations to improve efficiency and safety.
  
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
  
• Investigate and resolve inventory and warehouse-related issues.
  
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment after completing required training and certification.
  
• Follow all company policies, including QHSE and safety procedures.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Shift: M-F 6:30AM - 3:00PM

S kills Required

• Ability to obtain ATF clearance to work with explosive materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• Punctual, reliable, and flexible.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is not fully air-conditioned.
• Approximately 75% of work may be performed outdoors.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Previous warehouse or materials handling experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory management systems.

Education

• High school di ploma or GED

Pay Rate

• $20 - $23 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
