Vice President, Credit Operations
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine credit policies, credit procedures and guidelines, underwriting standards, and risk frameworks
- Align credit strategy with overall business goals, growth targets, and risk appetite
- Responsible for building and developing a team with a focus on critical thinking, staff development, and driving performance and results.
- Serve as a voting member of the NewLane Management Credit Committee
- Monitor economic trends and adjust credit policies accordingly
- Oversee credit risk across all sales segments (ex. syndications, vendor, end-user, broker)
- Provide hands-on review and approval of middle-market and complex transactions (e.g., $250K+)
- Incorporate economic trends, industry outlooks, and market conditions into decision-making
- Maintain credit files, audit readiness, and strong documentation standards
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with all key stakeholders, including but not limited to the Board of Directors, Regulators, and cross-functional teams of WSFS Bank including the Risk Administration & Reporting, Credit Review, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance and Audit
- Oversee development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of credit scoring models for underwriting and portfolio monitoring
- Be an active participant in Senior Leadership meetings, contributing thoughts and ideas to help achieve NewLane's goals and objectives, presenting performance metrics and policies to the Credit Committee and Board of Directors
- Ensures regulatory compliance within the underwriting function

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in credit and equipment finance underwriting
- 5 years' experience in a leadership position, including managing up to 10+ employees
- Understanding of credit and underwriting operations, including experience with scoring models.
- Experience in small ticket equipment finance desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and computer literacy skills required.
- Good working knowledge of other functional departments (i.e., Sales, Funding, Servicing, Collections, etc.) and their interactions with the Credit department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate should be self-motivated and possess a desire to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
$133,728.00 - $219,696.75 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
