HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop and maintain applications using Java 8 (or similar) and jQuery .
- Build and enhance solutions with Oracle Commerce products , specifically:
- ATG Web Commerce 11.4
- Endeca Commerce 11.4
- Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11.4
- Provide application support, including but not limited to:
- Querying and analyzing database information to produce requested reports.
- Deploying environments on web and application servers.
- Performing load and performance testing.
- Managing certificates and overseeing server health monitoring.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university.
- Alternative Path: In lieu of a degree, candidates must possess an additional four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Proficiency in Java 8 (or similar versions) for application development.
- Web development expertise using:
- React
- jQuery
- Bootstrap
- HTML5
- CSS
- Extensive experience in application support , including:
- Querying and analyzing databases.
- Deploying to web and application servers.
- Performing load/performance testing.
- Managing SSL/TLS certificates.
- Monitoring health metrics for servers.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Similar tools.
- Proficiency in version control using Git and repositories like GitHub .
- Application development and maintenance experience with Oracle Commerce products :
- ATG Web Commerce 11.4
- Endeca Commerce 11.4
- Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11.4.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like:
- EBS Jenkins
- GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on knowledge of WebSphere , WebLogic , and Linux server environments.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Knowledge or experience with incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into software engineering solutions.
- This position will require an individual with strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work with cross-functional teams ( agile methodologies preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
