⚙️ What You Will Do

• Complete Setups: Take a job from blueprint to finished part, including fixture installation and tool offsets.

• Precision Machining: Operate 3, 4, or 5-axis mills or multi-axis lathes to produce high-quality components.

• Quality Excellence: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to hold tolerances as tight as $\pm.0005$.

• Troubleshooting: Read and edit G-Code/M-Code at the machine to optimize run times and accuracy.

• Blueprint Reading: Work from complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of CNC Machining experience (Setup and Operation).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with controls like Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens.

• Materials: Experience working with a variety of metals, from Aluminum and Stainless to Aerospace-grade exotics.

• Mindset: A detail-oriented professional who treats their machine with pride.

Location: Conveniently located in the Chambersburg / Franklin County area.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and quality control of high-precision machining centers to produce complex components. Your daily duties include:

• Machine Setup: Perform full setups on CNC Mills or Lathes, including installing fixtures, loading tools, and inputting tool/work offsets ($G54-G59$).

• Production & Operation: Run production lots while monitoring machine performance, adjusting speeds and feeds to optimize tool life and part finish.

• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings, applying GD&T standards to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

• Quality Inspection: Conduct "First-Piece" and in-process inspections using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.

• Code Editing: Perform basic G-code and M-code edits at the controller (Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak) to correct dimensions or improve cycle times.

• Maintenance: Perform daily machine maintenance (checking coolant levels, oiling, and chip removal) and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs and quality records to ensure traceability and compliance with ISO standards.

The essential functions of this role include:
