Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Job Description
Who We Are
NeuroFlow CEO and West Point graduate Christopher Molaro served in the army for five years, including a tour in Iraq as a platoon leader. Coming back home, he experienced firsthand the gaps in the behavioral health system and how veterans and civilians alike face too many barriers when it comes to receiving appropriate, timely care.
While pursuing his MBA at Wharton, Chris met his future co-founder Adam Pardes, and the two agreed – even the most engaging digital mental health apps in the world wouldn't truly change the problem; only a solution that systematically integrated behavioral health into the full healthcare ecosystem could create meaningful change. And so they created NeuroFlow.
What We Do:
We pride ourselves on partnering with healthcare leaders to assist in driving better outcomes, lowering total cost of care, and making behavioral health risk more predictable and transparent. NeuroFlow exists to make sure no one who needs behavioral health support falls through the cracks.
We build more than just engaging digital health tools for self-care: we create platforms that identify population behavioral health risk early, engage individuals with acuity-specific resources, and enable care teams to make smarter and more efficient decisions. Together, NeuroFlow's solutions arm healthcare organizations with the insights they need to overcome the systemic challenges in today's healthcare ecosystem.
How We Do It:
The award-winning culture at NeuroFlow is one built around encouragement and daring to be great. Our core values have been displayed in our office since day one, and each team member is responsible for carrying out these values and keeping each other accountable to them. We succeed through our flexibility and agility, navigating and transforming an industry ripe for change where "no" or "can't" is too often the default. NeuroFlow offers unique opportunities to work in a fun and challenging fast-paced environment with direct, meaningful impact on helping to close the divide between mental and physical health.
About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at NeuroFlow, you will serve as a technical and strategic leader within the engineering organization. You'll own initiatives that span teams and disciplines, guiding the "what" and "how" behind our infrastructure evolution. This role demands deep technical expertise, mentorship of peers, and the ability to proactively translate complex challenges into scalable solutions.
You will be entrusted with shaping key components of our infrastructure strategy, collaborating with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and security, while mentoring teammates and driving delivery with autonomy. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to lead both technically and organizationally.
What You'll Do- Own Cross-Team Infrastructure Initiatives: Take end-to-end ownership of high-impact projects that span departments, setting direction for systems architecture and infrastructure strategy.
- Drive Strategic Infrastructure Planning: Define roadmaps aligned with business goals, incorporating security, availability, and scalability from the ground up.
- Mentor and Coach: Be recognized as a go-to mentor for DevOps best practices, architectural decisions, and incident response—elevating the broader engineering team's capabilities.
- Manage Up and Out: Effectively collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders across security, product, and engineering to advocate for and execute infrastructure priorities.
- Lead Incident Response & Reliability Engineering: Set the bar for operational excellence by proactively mitigating risks, leading on-call rotations, facilitating blameless postmortems, and embedding resilience into everything we build.
- Translate Insight Into Action: Anticipate infrastructure challenges, identify inefficiencies, and create sustainable systems and automation to reduce manual toil.
- Champion Modern DevOps Practices: Drive the adoption of serverless and event-driven architectures. Establish secure and scalable CI/CD workflows for rapid, zero-downtime deployments.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale technical initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and modern observability tools.
- Experience architecting highly available, secure, and compliant systems for production environments.
- A strong track record building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- A mentorship mindset, helping other engineers navigate ambiguity, develop technically, and drive toward impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence technical direction across organizational boundaries.
- A strategic approach to problem-solving—balancing long-term goals with practical execution.
- Dynamic Task Scaling: Rebuild our distributed task processing system to scale automatically, handle thousands of concurrent jobs, and recover from failure with minimal human intervention.
- CI/CD Redesign: Deliver a robust, one-click deployment pipeline that supports continuous delivery to production with full observability and rollback capabilities.
- Infrastructure Efficiency & Resilience: Lead initiatives to refactor legacy systems, optimize resource usage, and enhance system reliability while lowering costs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, leads through influence, and is eager to have a visible and lasting impact on our engineering culture and systems. You'll be empowered to set direction, build infrastructure from first principles, and mentor others while delivering secure, scalable, and elegant solutions.
