Behavioral Healthcare Compliance and Contract Specialist

Kaleidoscope Family Solutions is seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Compliance and Contract Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities*Regulatory Analysis: Monitor and interpret state and federal behavioral health regulations to ensure all programs remain fully compliant
*Oversee the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of contracts, policies and procedures as they relate to regulatory guidance
*Translate complex legal requirements and state bulletins into actionable, easy-to-understand internal policies and procedures for clinical and administrative staff
*Manage new and existing contracts by coordinating meetings and conference calls as necessary to ensure that agency personnel utilize and execute the proper agreements.
*Coordinate contracts review with the Compliance Department and legal as needed, communicate any revisions between parties and track progress of contract negotiations to ensure a timely conclusion, confirming approval by all involved parties.
*Modify, update and maintain contracts and associated documentation
*Communicate contractual changes with all impacted departments.
*Provides contracts support to all programs and departments, as needed.
*Compile and generate monthly and quarterly regulatory compliance checks
*Support the Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to ensure agency remains in compliance.
*Support with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from document generation through the contract lifecycle process. This lifecycle starts with the creation of the contract itself, and progresses to both the negotiation and approval process. Once approved, the contract must be signed, stored, and managed. Included in this management are renewals, terminations, deliverables, and the fulfillment of a variety of obligations.
*Stay current with Behavioral Healthcare and industry related laws as it relates to all agency business Education / Experience Qualifications
*A Bachelor's Degree is required.
*Master's Degree preferred. Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, Behavioral or Mental Health Science, or Business Administration is preferred.
*3-5+ years of direct experience in healthcare/behavioral health compliance, contract administration, or regulatory affairs is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*Strong, demonstrable understanding of behavioral health systems, mental health therapeutic guidelines, and billing rules
*Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory concepts to non-compliance staff
*Ability to operate autonomously and deal with confidential information.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Must possess the ability to follow directions well and make independent sound decisions when necessary.
*Organizational skills, self-motivated, and analytical with strong attention to detail.
*Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at one time.
*Must possess excellent customer service skills.
*Must be computer literate and familiar with most Microsoft products such as Power Point, Excel, and Word. Proficient with contract management systems.
*Demonstrate versatility and flexibility in a busy environment. SALARY
