Store Manager
Job Overview
The Franklin Fountain, Philadelphia's premier Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor and Soda Fountain, is seeking an enthusiastic, people-driven Co-Manager to work alongside our existing admin-focused Manager. This will be a largely front-facing role, focusing on customer service, in shop experience, and direct staff management.
Essential skills and characteristics :
- Excellent customer service skills and generally enjoys working with the public
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Comfortable providing consistent accountability and discipline in real time
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Willing and able to do everything from washing dishes, to collaborating in executive decisions
- Available and willing to work nights consistently
- At least 2-3 times per week, especially during peak Summer season, sometimes as late as 1-2am
- Available to respond to emergencies when off site
- Tech-savvy: Familiar with Google Drive, Mac Products, Slack, comfortable troubleshooting POS equipment, printers, etc
- Interested in collaborating with staff at all levels

- Able to be on your feet for much of an 8 hour shift, lift up to 25 lbs, ascend/descend narrow staircases, tolerate temperature changes (ie entering a walk-in freezer)

- Social media savvy, photo/video skills
- Passionate about food/drink
- Knowledge/Interest in local food scene
- ServSafe certified
