Retail Sales Associate – Giuseppe’s Market (Samuels Seafood Co., South Philadelphia)

We’re looking for a Retail Sales Associate to be the face of our store — someone who brings energy, attention to detail, and a love for great food. If you’re a friendly, people-person with experience in butchering seafood, beef, or lamb — and you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

· Deliver Top-Tier Service: Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and help them select premium products in-store, by phone, or via email.

· Cut & Prepare Products: Weigh, scale, cut, and price seafood, beef, lamb, and other meats (fresh and frozen).

· Run the Register: Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and care.

· Stay Hands-On: Assist in the kitchen, clean and maintain workspace, and help with tasks like packing orders, dishwashing, and floor scrubbing.

· Pitch In Where Needed: Occasionally travel to other locations to assist with moving items or preparing for next-day orders.

· Promote What’s Fresh: Share daily specials and talk up Giuseppe’s “Seven Fish Club” with every customer.

What We’re Looking For:

· Knowledge of seafood — especially in fileting and product handling

· Comfortable working with both fresh and frozen products

· Prior retail or cashier experience preferred (but not required)

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

· A team player with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for great food
