Legal Billing Specialist
Express Employment Professionals is representing a law firm in Center City Philadelphia seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-hire basis. This is a fully onsite opportunity offering $24–30/hour depending on experience.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with prior legal billing experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced law firm environment. This individual will support attorneys and staff with billing operations, invoice preparation, time entry review, billing adjustments, and accounts receivable support.
Responsibilities:
- Review attorney time entries for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare, edit, and process client invoices
- Handle billing revisions, write-downs, and adjustments
- Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and payment tracking
- Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation
- Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding billing matters and deadlines
- Support additional administrative and accounting-related functions as needed
Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of legal billing or law firm billing experience preferred
- Experience with legal billing software strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
