Electrical Engineer (onsite)
What you will do
Johnson Controls is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join the BE, AirSide Engineering Team based in York, PA. In this role, you will perform a full range of engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks. The engineering team is responsible for all aspects and execution of AHU (Air Handling Unit) Design & Application. This position is based in York, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility or able to relocate. We are not able to sponsor for this position, so candidates must be either US Citizens and/or Permanent Residents of the US.
How will you do it
Works under general supervision. Follows work instructions and defined processes.
Collaborates to determine best techniques/procedures/theories and apply them to analysis, design, or research of electrical systems and components related to the HVAC industry.
Applies statistical analysis and quality principles and tools. Demonstrates a mature understanding of advanced statistical analysis tools and problem solving.
Defines, plans, and promotes own activity for a project. Drives results in cross-functional work with other departments.
Provides technical directions to designers and technicians on specific work assignments. Guides and mentors less experienced engineers.
Analyzes product design requirements and recommends electrical solutions. Promotes Design for Manufacturability philosophy and simplifies complex specifications into logical design requirements.
Completes detailed design for electrical features or products.
Prepares, checks, and coordinates the release of documentation to support AHU electrical component design and application.
Uses expertise to provide instruction and guidance to others.
Write specifications for electrical features or products.
Prepares and participates in design reviews. Supports technical activities and aids others.
Reports status of own work and junior members’ work to project team.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Understanding low voltage - 600 volts and below
Design and development of electrical motor controls to serve mechanical equipment
US Citizens and/or Permanent Residents of the US
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $67,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
