POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Material Management Team, the Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for managing stock levels, tracking incoming/outgoing shipments, and performing audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for ensuring accurate counts and usage of materials. This will be accomplished through the following:
- Shipping & Receiving – Verify accuracy and quality of all deliveries and process returns.
- Receive, label, and store incoming stock while organizing the storage area (warehouse) to maximize space. Understand inventory consumption and maintain the appropriate levels of inventory through Min/Max levels.
- Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies within the company ERP system.
- Utilize inventory management system, e.g., ERP to track stock levels, movements, and item locations.
- Compliance – Adhere to safety guidelines and security procedures to prevent theft or damage to inventory.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience – Previous experience in warehouse operations, retail, or inventory control is required.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in data entry and inventory management software, e.g., ERP.
- Physical Strength – Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs).
- Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy in counting and tracking items.
- Communication – Ability to work with suppliers and internal teams.

- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Great communication skills
- Problem solving through excellent numerical, logical, and analytic skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
