Position Summary
The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales activities for a specific product group at Allegheny Bradford Corporation. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing customer communications, processing proposals and sales orders, coordinating documentation, and helping drive business growth through efficient and responsive service.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to staying current with product knowledge. The sales coordinator will interact regularly with internal departments, customers, and regional managers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and pursue new opportunities
- Prepare and submit quote proposals; manage quote follow-ups and closing activities
- Review and address customer terms and conditions
- Promote additional product offerings when applicable
- Enter customer and sales order data into the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX)
- Track and communicate order status, updates, and changes
- Coordinate job folders and manage cost change approvals
- Handle customer complaints and requests, routing them to the appropriate departments
- Organize and facilitate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) events
- Collaborate with estimators, regional managers, and shipping teams as needed
- Manage documentation including Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs), change notices, and purchase order updates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across systems
Tools & Technology
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Microsoft Dynamics AX (ERP system)
- Standard office equipment
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 2–3 years of relevant experience in a sales support or customer service role
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
Work Schedule
Choose between:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (as assigned)
