Embedded Software Engineer

This position is for a Software Engineer to support the Precision Mining group within the Robotics division. The individual hired for this position will work as part of an engineering team to design, develop, integrate and test software features on embedded electronic controls for use in Precision Mining application with hyperspectral analysis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Precision mining feature development in embedded C++, Linux, GitHub
- Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting
- Work in an Agile Sprint environment
- Validation plan development
- Coordination with a global team of machine, systems, software, and validation teams
- Systems requirements decompositions
- Involvement in Design, Development, Reviews, Integration, and test activities
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field AND 2-3 years of experience OR
- Masters’ Degree AND 1-2 years’ of experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong coding in C, C++, Python
- Strong software design analysis
- Capable of expressing positions without confrontation
- git, debuggers, and compilers
- C test and G test suites
- system-level feature design and specification
- datalinks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Robotics or autonomy experience desired
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
