Job Summary

Perform routine clerical duties in support of a manager, director and/or department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide routine clerical support, such as preparing routine departmental and corporate forms, collating and distributing information, and receiving and distributing mail.
• May be responsible for records entries in files, charts, or computer spreadsheet.
• Retrieve and deliver requested departmental files and/or documents both intra-departmentally and between other buildings or departments on site.
• Establish and maintain files.
• May provide telephone coverage, as needed.
• Relay information and requests to department personnel.
• May maintain inventory of office supplies and other non-technical supplies as assigned.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) and one year of college or equivalent college-level coursework.
• Experience: 1-2 years related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Certification/Licensure: None.
• Other: Experience utilizing computers for data entry, spreadsheets and document preparation. Ability to read, speak and understand English required. Experience in laboratory animal setting and/or knowledge of related technical terminology strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
