Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Appalachian Outdoors, 131 South Allen Street, State College, PA
Hours: Part-Time, 10-12 hrs. week: Ideal availability is 10-3:00 M-F with flexibility
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: Hourly - Based on experience

Appalachian Outdoors has proudly served the State College community since 1974. We are dedicated to providing exceptional outdoor gear and services, and we are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview:
As an Admin Assistant, you will work closely with our bookkeeper to manage various tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn about small business while contributing to our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily deposits and ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Utilize Excel to organize and analyze financial data effectively.
- Process and track invoices for timely payment.
- Handle paperwork and filing to maintain organized financial records.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good with numbers; a logical, critical thinker who enjoys problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
