Job Summary and Duties

Geisinger is seeking BC/BE Ophthalmologist - Comprehensive. Successful candidates will join a collegial and well-established practice with more than 20 doctors, including multi-specialty Ophthalmologists and Optometrists.

Our new associates will acquire an existing robust practice in their respective specialty. These are excellent opportunities for both new graduates and experienced Ophthalmologists.

An ophthalmologist provides comprehensive eye and vision care, diagnosing, monitoring, and treating ocular and visual disorders, including issues affecting the eye, eyelids, orbit, and visual pathways.

Position Details:

• Interview patients, gather symptoms, medical and family histories
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for injuries and illnesses
• Prescribe or administer medications as needed
• Maintain and review patient records

Work is performed in clinical and office settings, adhering to organizational policies. Additional competencies will be outlined during department-specific orientation.

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Licensing: Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania
