Vending & Coffee Equipment Field Service Technician

Step into a hands-on role where you’ll install, repair, and fine-tune vending and office coffee machines so customers enjoy uninterrupted service. You’ll travel to local accounts across Pittsburgh and the surrounding area in a company vehicle, diagnose issues on-site, and get equipment back to peak performance.

A day in the life

• Load your company vehicle with parts, tools, and supplies you’ve organized and stocked for the day.
• Head to local customer locations to install equipment, replace components, and perform repairs that keep machines operating smoothly.
• Diagnose malfunctions in the field, using your electrical know-how and test instruments to restore machines to working order.
• When needed, swap out failed units, clean internal components, and make precise adjustments to resolve issues.
• Follow established procedures for record keeping and document all service activities accurately.
• Represent the company with a professional appearance and positive, customer-focused demeanor.
• Coordinate with the service manager, back-office support, operations, and sales to align on priorities and next steps.

Where you’ll work

All service is local to Pittsburgh and nearby communities. Most work is handled in-house, with field visits as required. A company vehicle is provided for travel to accounts.

What you’ll bring

• Proficiency in electrical repair, general service, and maintenance/repair practices.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Strong organization habits for stocking and maintaining repair parts and supplies.
• Clear communication with internal teams and customers.

• Voltage detector
• Multimeter

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain a DOT physical (paid for by the company).
