About the Role:
As a Server A La Carte, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, personalized, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure that each customer feels welcomed and valued while accurately taking and delivering orders in a timely manner. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management to maintain smooth operations and uphold the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the overall success of the restaurant.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role within the food and beverage industry.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an a la carte dining environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, providing menus and explaining daily specials or promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables according to restaurant standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate order timing and ensure quality control.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with integrity.
