Client Account Executive - Government Affairs
Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS)
Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS) is seeking a full-time Client Account Executive – Government Affairs to join our team and work closely with our Vice President of Client Relations. This role is ideal for a high-energy, relationship-driven professional who enjoys connecting with people, building trust with clients, and contributing creative ideas to a growing sales team.
This position allows for remote work , however candidates must live locally in the Harrisburg / Capitol region . Regular in-person attendance at legislative events, meetings, and networking opportunities at the Pennsylvania State Capitol is an essential and non-negotiable part of this role.

Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS) is a Harrisburg-based legislative intelligence and research company founded in 2001 . For more than 25 years, PLS has provided trusted, real-time coverage of the Pennsylvania General Assembly to government relations professionals, organizations, associations, and public sector clients.
Our team combines experienced Capitol professionals, human-verified legislative data, and innovative technology to deliver one of Pennsylvania’s most powerful legislative tracking and research platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Attend and actively participate in Capitol events, legislative functions, and client networking opportunities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government affairs community
- Conduct product demonstrations and client consultations
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Manage sales activities independently in a remote work environment
Work Schedule
- Standard hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Hours may vary during legislative session days and Capitol events
Qualifications
- Highly motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Creative and proactive approach to sales and business development
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interest in public policy, government relations, or the legislative process (preferred)
- Familiarity with legislative environments or government affairs is a plus
