Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a backend developer to support a Kafka (SME) Architect. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java Spring Boot microservices within a Kafka-based middleware architecture. They will be responsible for supporting enhancements to the existing Kafka consumer framework and contribute to its extension across environments. They will be working closely with the architect and engineering leads to ensure scalable and reliable backend service delivery. Engagement in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes in a cloud-native environment. Contributing to long-term integration and premium service initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a backend developer.

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices

• Exposure to Kafka (basic understanding required; deeper expertise will be developed on the job).

• Experience with middleware and backend system

Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Retail/Ecommerce

• Integrations Experience
