Cabling Technician

Job Description

Day-to-Day An employer is looking for a Cabling Technician in the Lancaster, PA area. The technician will work alone or with a small team to install cables (Cat5, Cat6, RJ45), wireless access points.t. They will be traveling between local sites and working on a variety of installation projects. An ideal candidate would be career-oriented and would possess a strong work ethic. They should be proficient with wiring/cabling and termination, fiber optic terminations, and IT room/Data center build outs

Skills and Requirements

Must-haves - 1-3 years of hands-on Cabling experience - Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting cables (Cat5, Cat6, RJ45) - Knowledge of wireless access points - Building patch panels - Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow on the team long-term Plusses - Fiber cabling experience - Electronic wiring experience - Some type of Cabling/Wiring Certification (ie BISCI, Hubbell, Levitan) - Network cabling - Experience working in a clinical environment / ICRA compliance
