Real Estate Paralegal
Kreder Brooks Hailstone LLP, a full-service law firm in Scranton, PA, seeks to hire an experienced individual to assist with real estate closings and other legal matters.
Responsibilities included: preparation of title commitments and policies; preparation of settlement statements; obtaining real estate tax and lien information from relevant authorities; coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders and real estate agents; preparation of deeds and other closing documents, handling closings with direction from title agent; documenting financial records for each transaction; and management of title files. Additional tasks include preparing correspondence, mailings, scheduling, and file management.
Candidates should be self-motivated and responsible, with excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Experience in Microsoft Word is required. Experienced candidates are preferred.
The position is full time, on site, and offers an excellent benefits package, including health care, 401(k) plan, disability insurance, life insurance, and vacation and sick leave. Salary commensurate with experience.
