Case Processing Analyst - Continuous Vetting
The Case Processing Analyst is responsible for performing personnel vetting case processing activities in support of the Case Processing Operations Center (CPOC). This position supports application ingestion, case maintenance, item-level processing, post-closing activities, and related personnel vetting functions to ensure investigations are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, quality standards, and security requirements Competitive pay: $21.07/hour + $4.93/ hour Health and Wellness Benefit (is available up to 40 hours per week) This remote position is listed under 'Boyers, PA’ for recruitment purposes. This position reports to the assigned Supervisor or Team Lead. The Case Processing Analyst works as part of a personnel vetting operations team supporting Federal Government investigative processing requirements and mission-critical case management activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review, validate, and process personnel vetting applications in accordance with established procedures and applicable publications.
- Assess and validate Continuous Vetting (CV) alerts using available data sources to attribute the information to a specific subject and determine if the information is relevant and actionable.
- Receive, review, document, and coordinate information which represents a potential risk to national security.
- For validated CV alerts, generate CV Reports on subjects deemed to have relevant and actionable information, and distribute those CV Reports to personnel security specialists, CI, Insider Threat, and/or other necessary parties for action.
- Formally request additional documents or information from outside agencies, via the Government, and properly upload this information to the subject case files upon receipt.
- Review and process requests for action, to include scope of investigation, correspondence and memoranda of findings, matching supplemental case files, and case assignment.
- Process case maintenance activities, including virtual case management, attachment and release processing, imaging, case monitoring, and system updates.
- Monitor assigned cases throughout the investigative lifecycle and take appropriate action to support case completion and delivery.
- Complete assigned item-level processing tasks, including records searches, verification activities, data review, system updates, and investigative support functions.
- Conduct research and coordinate with data providers, agencies, and internal stakeholders to obtain required information.
- Process military, citizenship, law enforcement, education, employment, financial, and other investigative record items as assigned.
- Complete post-scheduling validations and ensure compliance with applicable investigative requirements.
- Process telephone liaison requests, file releases, case corrections, adjudication entries, and post-closing activities.
- Digitally image and archive case materials when required.
- Utilize approved systems, automated tools, and manual processing methods to complete assigned work.
- Complete rework and corrective actions when quality reviews identify deficiencies.
- Maintain production, timeliness, accuracy, and quality standards established by contract requirements.
- Safeguard Government information, Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), equipment, and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of personnel vetting operations and mission requirements.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance including favorable adjudication of a personnel vetting investigation, a Common Access Card (CAC) for network and facility access, and enrollment in the Continuous Vetting (CV) program.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to review, analyze, verify, and process information in accordance with detailed procedures.
- Experience working in administrative processing, records management, investigations support, compliance, quality review, customer service, or data processing environments preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn complex processes, procedures, and system requirements.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems.
- Experience working with sensitive or confidential information preferred.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while supporting mission-critical Government operations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; work sponsorship is not available due to federal security restrictions.
The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, scanner, copier, printer, document imaging equipment, and other office machines required to perform assigned duties. The position may utilize Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), VPN connectivity, workflow management applications, document repositories, and personnel vetting processing systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Must be able to sit for extended periods while reviewing records, processing cases, working in computer-based systems, and entering data. Must be able to talk, listen, and communicate clearly by telephone and virtual communication platforms. WORKING CONDITIONS
The incumbent works in a remote, telework, hybrid, or office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of computer use, data entry, record review, case processing, and telephone communication are required. The position may support fluctuating workloads, expedited requests, changing investigative requirements, and future technology implementations as operational needs require. Security and privacy training will be provided as part of this role to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PCS, customer, Government, and mission-related data.
