Chief operating technical officer / cto

The Chief Operating & Technical Officer (COO/CTO) will manage both operations and technology .
You will oversee daily business operations, lead the technical development and maintenance of our mobile and web applications, and ensure flawless execution as we scale across multiple states.

You’ll work directly with the CEO to turn vision into execution and lead and manage all English countries operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all daily operations – customer service, worker onboarding, and call center teams.
• Oversee app development and technical maintenance (React Native, Node.js, Firebase).
• Manage and grow the technical and operations teams .
• Ensure data security , reliability, and scalability of the platform.
• Integrate key systems: Stripe, Google Maps, Twilio, background checks, CRM .
• Analyze performance metrics (KPI / data dashboards).
• Support compliance with U.S. employment and contractor laws (IRS 1099 / W-2) .
• Represent BestHand App in meetings, media, and partnerships on the English side.

Education / Degree Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following fields:
• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Information Systems
• Operations Management
• Master’s degree (MBA or MS) preferred (but not mandatory).
• Equivalent experience in technology management, app development, or startup leadership will also be considered.
• French bilingual is a strong plus.
• Required Skills & Experience
• 1 + years in startup, tech, or operations leadership
• Strong background in React, Node.js, Firebase/Supabase, Stripe API, Google Maps API
• Experience managing development teams or launching scalable platforms
• Strong analytical and decision-making ability
• Knowledge of gig-economy apps
• Fluent English; French bilingual is a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently with the CEO

- Base Salary$120,000 – $160,000 per year , based on experience

- Annual Bonus Up to 5 % of net company profits

-* Equity (Stock Options) 3 % – 5 %* ownership after 24 months of service

- Tuition Reimbursement Up to $15,000/year for higher education or tech certifications

- Location Must reside in or near Philadelphia, PA (50 mi radius)
