Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout their surgical procedures. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia safely and effectively during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery
- Assess patients pre-operatively to determine appropriate anesthetic plans
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide post-anesthesia care and follow-up
- Document patient care accurately in medical records
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
- Ensure compliance with all medical regulations and best practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the relevant state
- Board certification in Anesthesiology (highly preferred)
- Proven experience in anesthesiology during clinical practice
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week
Call: 12 or 24-hour call shifts possible
Multiple locations
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Annual Volume: 70-80k cases
Case Ratio: 3:1 or 4:1
Will provide anesthesia for all types of cases, including OB
No hearts and babies
Procedures: General, MAC, regional and post-op nerve blocks (extremities and TAP blocks)
Support Staff: Medically-directed CRNAs
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
