German Teacher 2026-27

Job Summary
Kimberton Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated and passionate German Language Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective curriculum tailored to middle school and high school students. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational requirements.

Part-time German teacher 6 grade and up

Minimum of 5 periods/week with room to grow

Job description

We are currently looking for a part-time German Teacher to eventually grow into the role of teaching grades 6-12. Our ideal candidate will be an educator who not only has a strong knowledge of German language, culture and pedagogy but who is passionate about language learning and is able to bring this love to our students.

In addition we are looking for support for our Exchange and Visiting International Student Program.

German Teacher Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill curriculum requirements.
• Teach German grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Introduce students to German culture, literature, and traditions.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide additional support and resources for students who need extra help.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress.

German Teacher Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in German, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching German at the middle school or high school level preferred
• Native speaker or native-like fluency in both written and spoken German..
• Waldorf Education experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience and adaptability in diverse classroom settings.
