Senior accountant

Our client in the Greater Harrisburg Area is looking for a Senior Accountant to support their financial and operational success, with the potential for permanent placement down the line. The ideal candidate will bring strong month-end, reporting, and accrual experience, along with a knack for quick learning and initiative-taking. If you possess forecasting or budgeting expertise, especially in corporate environments, your skills would be highly valued.

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Proven experience in month-end close procedures, financial reporting, and accruals
• Strong understanding of FP&A processes, including deal tracking and forecasting
• Proficient in preparing and analyzing budgets, along with project-based financial modeling
• Tech-savvy with ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of working independently
• Effective communicator, comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification
• Experience with ad hoc reporting and reconciliation processes
• Relevant degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CFA a plus

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update key financial reports monthly, including operating models and earnout trackers
• Monitor deal pipelines and recording all deal-specific financial data
• Prepare funding and leverage analyses for upcoming acquisitions and closings
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
• Verify accuracy of pro forma financial statements and growth tracking
• Collaborate with treasury on wire transfers, funding, and payment verification
• Assist with the integration of acquired entities’ financial systems and schedules
• Support the budget process for multiple departments and oversee data accuracy
• Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciliations and entries
• Review balance sheets, intercompany entries, and corporate accruals
