Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Location: Brookville, PA 15825 (Western Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Unit: Medical Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 6:00am – 6:00pm; Night: 6:30pm – 6:30am)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, and one winter holiday
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 6:1 (adult and geriatric patients)
• Charting System: Cerner EMR (preferred experience)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license (required for PA nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and Childline process upon contract signing
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Brookville, PA)
• First-time travel nurses welcome – great opportunity for new travelers!

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response situations
• Perform IV starts, central line blood draws, wound care, tracheostomy management, and related procedures
• Administer medications, blood products, manage feeding tubes, colostomies, and surgical drains
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy)
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Float to similar nursing units as needed and provide weekend/holiday coverage
