Code Enforcement / Zoning / Permit Officer

Join our dynamic team as a Code Enforcement / Zoning / Permit Officer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring community compliance with local codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to ensure compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and permit conditions.
- Review and approve or deny permit applications related to construction, renovations, and land use projects.
- Enforce regulations by issuing citations or notices of violation for non-compliance and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and property owners to clarify permit requirements and resolve compliance issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, violations, permits issued, and enforcement actions using report writing and regulatory reporting tools.
Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Proven experience in code enforcement, construction, zoning, planning, or a related role is preferred.
