Reports to: Director of Programs
Supervises: Lead Teachers, Counselors, and Activity Instructors (After-School & Summer Camp)
Location: Homestead, PA – In-person position
Salary: $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Position Overview
The Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Dragon’s Den’s after-school programs and summer camps. This role manages program staff, ensures accountability for performance and curriculum delivery, coordinates logistics, and develops engaging, mission-aligned activities. The Program Manager ensures programs run efficiently, meet grant and quality standards, and provide a safe, enriching experience for all participants.
This position is ideal for a strong leader who can balance people management, program organization, and creative curriculum planning.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Staff Management
● Supervise Lead Teachers, Counselors, and program staff for after-school and summer camp programs
● Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and hold staff accountable for program quality and safety standards
● Support staff in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
● Manage daily schedules and ensure adequate coverage
Program Planning & Curriculum
● Oversee program calendars and coordinate logistics for daily activities, field trips, and special events
● Write and adapt activities to align with program goals, participant needs, and grant requirements
● Ensure curriculum integration across all activity areas (academic support, enrichment, recreation)
● Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Operations & Compliance
● Track attendance, behavior, and program data for internal evaluation and grant reporting
● Monitor supply use and order materials as needed
● Ensure compliance with internal policies/procedures and grant and safety regulations
● Collaborate with the Director of Programs and Executive Director to align programming with organizational goals
Family & Community Engagement
● Communicate with parents and caregivers about program updates, successes, and concerns
● Support volunteer coordination for program activities
● Assist with storytelling, photos, and testimonials for social media and grant reports
Additional Duties
● Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
● 3+ years experience in youth programming, including staff supervision
● Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to write and adapt engaging activities for youth of various ages and abilities
● Experience tracking program data and meeting grant compliance requirements
● Proficiency in Google Suite; experience with scheduling or data management systems a plus
● Commitment to Dragon’s Den’s mission and values
Clearances Required: PA Criminal History Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, and Mandated Reporter Training must be completed before starting.
