Position: Curb, Sidewalk & ADA Ramp Foreman

Location: Southeastern Pa, South Jersey, Delaware

Job Description: Road-Con is looking for skilled Foreman to lead day‑to‑day field operations for concrete curb, sidewalk, and ADA ramp construction on municipal, DOT, and private‑sector projects. This position requires strong technical knowledge of concrete work, ADA compliance, grading, forming, and crew leadership. The Foreman ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise crews performing curb, sidewalk, and ADA ramp construction
• Lay out work from plans, grades, and survey stakes; verify elevations and slopes
• Coordinate forming, excavation, grading, stone base, and concrete placement
• Ensure ADA ramps meet all slope, landing, detectable warning, and alignment requirements
• Communicate with inspectors, project managers, and subcontractors
• Manage daily production, material quantities, and field documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, traffic control requirements, and jobsite protocols
• Troubleshoot field issues and maintain steady workflow
• Oversee finishing, curing, and protection of concrete
• Verify compliance with municipal, PennDOT, and ADA specifications
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safe work practices

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in curb, sidewalk, and ADA ramp construction
• Strong understanding of ADA ramp geometry, slopes, landings, and detectable warnings
• Ability to read plans, interpret details, and set accurate grades
• Experience leading crews and coordinating equipment, trucking, and materials
• Proficiency with stringline, levels, lasers, and layout tools
• Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, and curing best practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work in outdoor construction environments and manage physical tasks
• Prior Foreman or Lead Man experience on municipal or DOT projects
• Familiarity with PennDOT Pub 408, RC‑64M, and ADA curb ramp standards
• Experience coordinating traffic control setups

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Curb, Sidewalk & ADA ramp layout and construction.
• Knowledge of PA One Call requirements.
