Apple Outdoor Supply, a division of Blevins, Inc., is seeking a dependable and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team at our Camp Hill, PA branch. This is an immediate opening for an experienced individual to contribute to our door production line and warehouse operations.

As part of the family-owned Blevins, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, TN, we proudly operate 14 branches nationwide. With over 50 years of experience, we provide essential products and services to the manufactured housing and building industries. Monday-Friday work week, first shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation of fixtures and fittings, including door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.
• Support the selection of appropriate lumber based on size and strength to meet job specifications, while sourcing materials that align with customer budgets and styles.
• Calculate the number of fasteners required for various jobs.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.
• Read and interpret blueprints and designs, ensuring compliance with specifications provided by architects and building codes.
• Work independently in a warehouse environment that is clean and dry.
• Utilize creativity and design skills to assist in various projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools, including drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.
• Exhibit skills in joinery or door-making as directed.
• Lift materials weighing up to 125 lbs. as required during tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior carpentry experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
