Easton Arts Academy Elementary Charter School is a public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our student body reflects the diversity and vibrancy of the greater Lehigh, Carbon, and Bucks counties and the Pocono Region. Besides our rigorous academics we offer an exceptional arts program, such as visual arts, theatre/drama, music, dance, and movement.
Position Summary
Easton Arts Academy Elementary Charter School seeks a reliable, student-focused IT Specialist to manage and support all technology systems for our K–5 school community. Serving approximately 38 staff and 240 students, this role provides day-to-day technical support, maintains school hardware and software, supports instructional technology, and ensures systems run securely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, patient, highly organized, and comfortable working in a school environment with young students and educators.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Operations
Provide first-line technical support for faculty, staff, and students (Chromebooks, desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, projectors, smart boards, etc.)
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and account issues
Manage device setup, imaging, deployment, repairs, and inventory
Maintain and support classroom and office technology
Network & Systems Management
Assist with maintenance of school network, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity
Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords (Microsoft, Google-emails, PowerSchool)
Support student information systems, learning platforms, and administrative software
Perform routine system updates, backups, and basic security monitoring
Instructional Technology Support
Support teachers with instructional technology tools and classroom systems
Assist with testing platforms, online assessments, and digital learning tools
Provide basic training and guidance to staff on technology use
Support technology integration aligned with arts-focused instruction
Vendor & Asset Management
Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and consultants as needed.
Track warranties, repairs, licenses, and subscriptions
Recommend technology purchases within budget constraints.
Safety, Security & Compliance
Support data privacy and cybersecurity best practices
Ensure technology use complies with school policies and applicable regulations (e.g., FERPA)
Assist with technological aspects of emergency procedures and communications
Other Duties
Support school events, meetings, and testing days requiring technical setup.
Maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, and inventory.
Perform other related duties as assigned by school administration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field.
2+ years of hands-on IT support experience (school or small-organization environment preferred)
Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and/or Chrome OS environments.
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users, including children
Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a K–12 school or charter school setting
Familiarity with Google, Microsoft System for Education
Knowledge of student information systems and learning management platforms
Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls).
Interest in supporting arts-integrated education
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to lift and move technology equipment (up to ~40 lbs)
Frequent walking throughout school building
Occasional evening availability for events or maintenance.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Act 114 – FBI Federal Criminal History, Act 34 - Criminal History Clearance and Act 34 - Criminal History Clearance and valid PA Driver’s License required for hire.
