As a Program Specialist 1, you will provide individuals and their families with choice and control, including options for Supports Coordination Organization, supports coordinator, provider agency, type of service, and cost of service. In this role, you will aim to improve the health and safety of individuals receiving services through implementation of training, monitoring procedures, and using standardized processes to ensure equity for individuals requesting support services. Work involves completing intake processing duties such as gathering, reviewing, and approving eligibility documentation; confirming waiver eligibility; completing waiver certifications; as well as reviewing Service Preference applications. Additional responsibilities include:
Reviewing and approving incidents through Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) and Home and Community Service Information System (HCSIS) Conducting certified investigations Participating in peer reviews of in-house investigations Preparing correspondence, compiling reports, and maintaining records Reviewing and approving Individualized Service Plans (ISP)Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Part-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Overtime as needed. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
