Job Title: Mechanical Assembler : Location: - Upper Chichester, PA Pay: up to $23 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The role involves performing complex and diversified assemblies and subassemblies of electromechanical or hydraulic components. You will need to read and understand blueprints and engineering sketches, perform intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning tasks that require close tolerance, and execute final and checkout tests of various assemblies and subassemblies. This position requires a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and orderliness in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and engineering sketches.
• Assemble and subassemble mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical parts and equipment of standard and complex nature, including some prototype work.
• Perform standard and difficult adjusting and fitting tasks.
• Conduct standard and nonstandard tests using hand tools and some machine tools and/or test equipment.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area while adhering to all safety procedures and practices.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineering sketches.
• Experience with intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning tasks.
• Ability to perform final and checkout tests of assemblies and subassemblies.
• Competence in using hand tools and some machine tools and/or test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent training obtained through experience or an apprenticeship program in trade or occupation.
• Must provide own tools, including drive sockets, open-end wrenches, box wrenches, and Allen wrench.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Chichester, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
