Apple Valley Creamery stewards God's resources as a trusted source for inspiration, influence, and information to enrich, educate, and nurture individuals, families, and communities. We are small family-run business that strives to produce the best quality milk for our community. We operate our production plant on the farm to fill milk into glass containers that gets delivered to home delivery customers and retail stores in our area. We are located in East Berlin, Pa and we are looking for someone to join our team.

Filler Operator

Job Overview

The filler operator runs the milk bottle filler. This person must become efficient in performing size/type changes and the day to day operation of the machine, including adjustments and normal maintenance. The individual in this role sets the pace for the entire team and must maintain a positive attitude. The filler operator is also responsible for sanitation of the filler machine, holding tanks, and environmental sanitation. The filler operator reports to the plant manager. The position is currently part-time that will start at $15/hr and has potential for full-time hours and benefits. Work schedule is Monday thru Friday mornings into the afternoon.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate the bottle filler, adhering to the production schedule and maintaining accurate counts.
• Focus on maintaining a high standard of quality while running equipment.
• Complete sanitation of the filler, holding tanks, and environmental cleaning.
• Complete all necessary paperwork fully and completely, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Perform normal preventative maintenance of machine, such as weekly greasing.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dairy manufacturing experience helpful.
• Critical thinking skills are a necessity.
• Must be able to maintain a positive, productive attitude in high tension situations.
• Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to stand and work on a concrete surface for multiple hours.
