This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours being primarily in the summer and the fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.
Create Your Own Candy Bar (CYOCB) Attendants are responsible for greeting and interacting with guests in the CYOCB attraction by providing customer service to all the guests that enter the attraction. CYOCB Attendants assist guests through the process of “creating their own bar” on an actual factory manufacturing line. Other responsibilities include cleaning and replenishing the assembly line machines, replenishing supplies, scanning guests’ entry tickets to the attraction, assisting guests on the candy bar wrapper computers, and having a general knowledge of the machinery and candy-making process. The required skills will be learned primarily through on-the-job training.
Hershey’s Chocolate World requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects employees to be approachable, courteous, knowledgeable about our products, able to clearly communicate with guests and assist them with questions, and provide general information to guests with a high level of professionalism.
Summary of major duties:

- Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
- Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs
- Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest
- Greet guests and assist them as they move through the attraction
- Listen to customers and provide information to assist them
- Memorize a short script and speak clearly to an audience
- Clean and replenish assembly line machines and supplies
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- Must maintain a neat appearance, meet the uniform standards, and follow the Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines provided at hire
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 30 pounds
- Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
- Must be capable of vocal performance for a period of 30-60 minutes at a time
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow coworkers, and function effectively as part of a team
- Must have basic computer skills
- Customer service skills

- General retail knowledge a plus
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
- Experience: Customer service experience is preferred but not required
